Indian selectors have announced the squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022. In a good piece of news for the Indian cricket fans, senior pacer Jasprit Bumrah is back in the squad for the marquee tournament. Apart from that, the Indian camp has decided to go with two wicketkeepers in the team including the likes of Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant.
Apart from that, there are a couple of inclusions that are quite a bit surprising for the fans and the players are also lucky to get included in the team India. So here we’ll have a look at five players who are lucky enough to be in the squad of the men in blue.
Arshdeep Singh
The 23-year-old young pacer has not that long a T20I career to his name for the Indian team. He has proved his worth for the team in the last couple of T20I assignments with a few stellar performances. Notably, Arshdeep Singh is only the second Indian bowler to bowl the first over of his career as a maiden.
He has featured in 11 T20 internationals for team India and scalped 14 wickets with the best figure of three wickets by conceding 12 runs. Arshdeep has bowled with an economy rate of 7.38 runs per over. Just having an experience of only T20 internationals, it is a big thing for Arshdeep to get selected in the squad for the T20 World Cup 2022.
