‘Ab drop Kara next match mein toh universal lanat’ – Fans react Kuldeep Yadav bowls an impressive spell with three wickets in 2nd ODI against SL
[ad_1]
The star Indian wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav marked his comeback on India’s ODI playing XI with impressive bowling in the ongoing second of the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. The visitors’ skipper Dasun Shanaka won the flip of the coin and decided to bat first at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata.
Kuldeep Yadav’s spun the web and trapped the Lankan batters in his amazing art of wrist spin. The 28-year-old broke the spine of the Sri Lankan batting lineup by quickly scalping three big wickets of Kusal Mendis, Charith Asalanka, and skipper Dasun Shanaka himself.
The Indian fans are also overwhelmed with the performance of the Kanpur bowler in the penultimate fixture of the three-match ODI assignment between India and Sri Lanka. They took to Twitter to lavish the praises on Kuldeep and subsequently, the fans also took a subtle dig at the Indian Cricket Board with the remarks like they’ll omit Kuldeep once again after yet another brilliant performance.
Here’s how fans reacted:
#kuldeepyadav बहुत ज्यादा ही अच्छा खेल ले मगर #BCCI वाले उनको अगले मैच में बेंच पर बैठा देंगे 💯💯

Kuldeep Yadav should be playing regularly for India now that Chahal isn’t having the same impact with the ball. Ideally, it should be Ravi Bishnoi. But Kuldeep at least has to be there if Bishnoi isn’t picked. #INDvSL

Speaking of the match so far, the Islanders got an early blow in the form opener Avishka Fernando on the team’s score of 20 runs in six overs. Although, another opener Nuwanidu Fernando (50 runs off 63 balls with six boundaries) held the one end and stitched a crucial 73-run partnership for the second wicket. It was the moment when Sri Lankan batters surrendered to the brilliance of Kuldeep’s bowling.
Apart from Kuldeep Yadav’s three wickets, star pacer Umran Malik has also scalped two wickets alongside one wicket each by Mohammed Siraj and Axar Patel.
At the time of filling this copy, Sri Lanka has scored 199 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 37 overs.
Notably, the hosts are already leading the series by a margin of 1-0 courtesy to the convincing win of 67 runs in the first ODI at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. Now, they would be eyeing on to take an unassailable lead of 2-0 before heading to the last fixture of the series at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
