Armando Broja transfer news – odds: Everton move odds on and look in pole position to sign Newcastle and West Ham target

EVERTON are the odds on favourites to sign talented Chelsea forward Armando Broja.

That’s according to bookmakers Sky Bet, who’ve priced Frank Lampard’s side as the 4/5 favourites to sign him this summer.

The 20-year-old has come through Chelsea’s academy and has been capped 14 times by Albania.

The striker spent last season on loan from Stamford Bridge at Southampton and impressed, scoring nine goals in 31 games.

The Toffess are in need of a new striker to replace Richarlison who was sold to Tottenham for £52m.

The Brazilian’s departure leaves just Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Salomon Rondon as the club’s strikers, who scored a combined six league goals last season.

Youngster Anthony Gordon has been given the nod to lead the line in the opening couple of games.

But he is attracting heavy interest from Chelsea, with the Blues pondering upping their failed £45million bid.

West Ham were as short as 1/10 to sign Broja and have been linked with a move for him all summer.

David Moyes did opt for Gianluca Scamacca as his forward signing but it’s understood he is still keen on a move for Broja too.

The Hammers have lost both their opening Premier League games and need a bit more firepower up front but their odds of signing Broja have gone out to a big 12/1.

It’s Eddie Howe’s Newcastle who are second favourites behind Everton as they look to bolster their attack.

The Magpies had been closely linked with the French youngster Hugo Ekitike from Reims but have lost that battle to PSG.

The Tyneside club do have striking options in Callum Wilson and Chris Wood, but the two are both in their 30s and the club are longer firmly into the future as they try and chase down the big six with their new influx of money.

Newcastle are 6/1 to sign Broja in this window.

Several other Premier League clubs have been linked to the Albanian, including Southampton whom he played for last season, but Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side are priced at 14/1 for the Chelsea striker.

Leeds and Crystal Palace are bigger yet at 16/1 and Real Madrid trail them at 18/1.
