Morning Arsenal fans
Martin Odegaard believes the decision to penalise him for a foul on Christian Eriksen before Gabriel Martinelli scored a disallowed goal was “never a foul”.
The Gunners captain spoke to Sky Sports afterwards and blasted referee Paul Tierney’s decision – aided by Lee Mason who was monitoring VAR.
“In my opinion, it’s never a foul,” he said.
“It’s a soft challenge and for VAR to come in, it needs to be clear and obvious. For me, it’s very, very soft.”
Roy Keane was having no time for Mikel Arteta’s sour grapes.
The Spaniard wasn’t happy with the officiating at Old Trafford – as the Gunners fell to their first loss of the season.
After the game, the Sky Sports pundit blasted the Gunners manager.
He said: “He’s a sore loser. Every time he loses a game, I listen to him, it’s about what they didn’t do properly or the officials – stop making excuses!”
Emile Smith Rowe appeared to be “distressed” in the warm down after the Man Utd game and has sustained an injury.
The Athletic’s David Ornstein reports, the midfielder pulled up while working out with the rest of the substitutes.
He added the England international looked “distressed” as he was assisted by coach Carlos Cuesta.
