The star Indian batting sensation and World number one T20I batter Suryakumar Yadav amazed everyone with his consistent performances in the shortest format of the game. But he has failed miserably in the core format of the game that is the ODI cricket. The Mumbai batter has poor outings of 6, 27, 16, 13, 8, 8, 4, 4, and 31 runs respectively in the last nine ODI innings.

Although the 32-year-old is just two centuries away from breaking Indian skipper Rohit Sharma’s record of highest T20I centuries. But another poor outing from him in the ODI format didn’t go down well with a section of the Indian Cricket fans.

Fed up with Surya’s knock, the Indian fans took to Twitter to question his abilities in the 50-overs format and also labeled him as only a player of one format.

Here’s how fans lashed out at Surykaumar Yadav for yet another failure in ODI:

Talking about the ongoing activities of the first of the three-match ODI series against New Zealand. The visitors have started the run chase of 350 runs in 50 overs posted by the men in blue. At the time of filling this copy, the Kiwis have scored 20 runs without any loss of a wicket in 3.3 overs having skipper Tom Latham and senior opener Devon Conway in the middle. Earlier, the hosts posted a big total of 349 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 50 overs courtesy to the historic double century by Shubman Gill. The 23-year-old young batting sensation smashed a swashbuckling knock of 208 runs off just 149 balls with 19 boundaries and nine massive sixes on his credit.

Notably, Gill has also become the youngest batter ever to score a double ton in ODI cricket. He has surpassed all the previous double centurions in terms of age.
