A box truck from a beer and wine distributor hopped a Jersey wall on the outbound 14th Street Bridge in D.C. just before 3 a.m. Friday.

The crash comes on a day that is heavily traveled as people make their way in and out of town for the Christmas holiday.

Traffic on the outbound 14th Street Bridge gets by in a single left lane.

At 7:30 a.m., WTOP Traffic said the delays were to the 3rd Street Tunnel.

The cleanup is expected to last through much of the morning rush, WTOP Traffic said.
