Ben Stokes heaps praise on Virat Kohli, provokes trolls on Babar Azam from fans

Pakistan and England locked horns in the second of the three-match Test series. The latter won the toss and decided to bat first at the spin-friendly turf of Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan. After putting the score of 281 runs on the board in the first innings, the three lions managed to restrict the hosts only to the score of 202 runs and took the lead of 79 runs in the first innings.

Riding on the brilliant century of Harry Brook, the visitors managed to put in a total of 275 runs in their second innings and increased the lead to 354 runs posting a target of 355 runs for Babar Azam’s men.

Mark Wood’s bowling heroics helped England to clinch outplay the Pakistan team and bundled the latter on 328 runs to win the match by 26 runs.

In the aftermath of the second consecutive win against Pakistan, English skipper Ben Stokes lavished his praises on the 23-year-old young batter, Harry Brook. Stokes used the name of former Indian spinner and senior batter Virat Kohli to appreciate Brook’s amazing batting heroics.

Here’s what Stokes said:

“He’s [Harry Brook] a player whose technique is suited to all three formats, he wants to always look to be putting pressure back onto the opposition, and he’s won another game for England,” said Brooks to Sky Sports after winning the Multan Test.

“He’s one of those rare players that you look across all formats and you can just see him being successful everywhere. It’s a massive shout, but Virat Kohli is one of those guys where technique is just so simple and works everywhere,” he added later.

Although the mention of Virat Kohli by Ben Stokes gave a chance to the Indian fans to troll Pakistan skipper Babar Azam. They took to Twitter to mock the 28-year-old Lahore batter.
