Both Chelsea and Newcastle have been linked with a move for the talented 18-year-old striker.

Barcelona are also thought to be keen on signing the teenager.

And news of Dortmund’s deadline is set to put interested parties on red alert.

Moukoko’s current deal expires at the end of the campaign and he will be available on a free transfer if he does not pen fresh terms.

Dortmund return to Bundesliga action on Sunday for the first time since before the World Cup.

And the club want an answer from Moukoko on whether he will pen a new deal before they play the match.

Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl confirmed they are waiting on a response from the striker.

He told German magazine Kicker: “We have put together a very attractive offer that gives him a lot of room for development. That should lead to a decision.

“He has to make it with his environment and his advisor.”

Kehl added: “Youssoufa can now accept this offer and commit to Borussia Dortmund – or we will go our separate ways.

“I would like him to choose us because he is not yet at the end of his development and I am huge I see potential in him.

“But there are limits for us as a club. And we have shown these limits. Now it’s up to him to confess in a timely manner.”

Dortmund want an answer before Sunday’s home game against Augsburg so Moukoko can fully focus on the match.

Kehl continued: “Youssoufa and his advisors know that we are expecting a decision this week because we are discussing the topic want to have this clarified before the first day of the game.

“So that the boy can devote himself entirely to the sporting challenges.”
