Chevrolet Re-Opens 2023 Corvette Z06 Order Banks

Chevrolet has been using a “metered” approach for ordering the high-zoot Z06 trim of the 2023 Corvette.

Meaning the order banks were opened and then temporarily closed. Now they’re open again. Oh, and deliveries have begun.

“We had previously shared with dealers and the public that we had accepted enough Z06 orders to fill the number of Z06 production slots we had for calendar year 2022, so we stopped elevating dealer orders to accepted orders that the plant would build. Now we are saying we’re going to accept more dealer orders to continue filling the pipeline of Z06 production through the end of model year 2023,” Chevy spokesperson Trevor Thompkins told Motor1.com.

The first builds of the car rolled across the assembly line late in September. As per usual, the car will be built in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Racing mogul Rick Hendrick bought the first car — a 70th anniversary model with the Z07 package and a Carbon Flash Metallic paint job, at auction, with his $3.6 million winning bid going to charity. Interestingly, the auction was in January, even though the production builds were months away.

The base price for the hi-po version of the C8 is $106,395, including destination. You’ll get 670 ponies for your money.
