Guwahati Weather Today – South Africa Tour Of India 2022, 2nd T20I

India National Cricket Team led by Rohit Sharma are scheduled to go head-to-head with South Africa National Cricket Team led by Temba Bavuma at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati in the second match of the three-match T20I series on Sunday, October 2.

India National Cricket Team kicked off the series with a brilliant victory over the Proteas and they have a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series.

The T20I series opener was played at the Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday, September 28.

India won the toss and invited South Africa to bat first in the match. The decision to bowl first turned out to be a gem of a decision for the side as pacers Arshdeep Singh and Deepak Chahar demolished the Proteas batting unit. In the end, South Africa was able to post 106 for 8 with the help of Keshav Maharaj, Wayne Parnell and Aiden Markram’s decent batting performances.

Chasing the target, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli failed to score good runs. However, middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav and opener KL Rahul added 93* runs in 63 balls to help India chase down the target with 20 balls remaining.

India’s highest ranked T20I batter Suryakumar Yadav smashed a sensational 50 runs off 33 balls, including 5 fours and 3 sixes, and KL Rahul, who finished off the match with a six, scored 51 runs off 56 balls, including 2 fours and 4 sixes.

The second T20I game of the series between India and South Africa will begin at 7 PM IST and thunderstorms are expected during that point in time.

According to weather.com, the temperature in Guwahati will be 35° Celcius during the day and 26° Celcius at night. The humidity will be around 69% during the day and 26% at night. Also, there will be significant cloud cover during the second T20I match, with a 20% chance of rain.

The last international fixture at the Barsapara Stadium, which was played between India and Sri Lanka, was abandoned due to heavy rainfall in the city.
