Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Spied in Production Guise

Autoblog‘s spy photogs have been busy. We just brought you the Porsche 718 Boxster EV shots, and now we also have some Hyundai Ioniq 5 N spy shots thanks to our friends/competitors.

The camouflage here is thin enough that we can get a good sense of how the EV hatchback looks in hopped-up N guise.

The look is more aggressive and the car is wider — and the grilles appear larger, presumably for better cooling. The lower grille area is especially bigger — it gains in width and height.

There are also small slits below the headlight — again, for increased airflow — and the grilles appear to be able to open and shut for aerodynamic purposes.

Cooling appears to be a priority — there are yet more air intakes towards the rear. The rear wheel arches also have vents on their back.

The rear spoiler also gets longer, compared the “regular” car, and a triangular center high-mounted stop light is integrated. The rear bumper gets a large rear diffuser.

Specs aren’t public but common sense suggests it will share the 577 horsepower, 546 lb-ft of torque dual-motor setup from its platform-mate, the Kia EV6 GT. A limited-slip rear differential is also a likely available feature.
