India’s Predicted Playing XI vs England- India Tour Of England 2022, 3rd ODI

India and England are set to grapple against each other in the third and final ODI game of the series at Old Trafford in Manchester. The three-match ODI series is currently locked at 1-1 with the series decider match will take place on Sunday (July 17).

India is led by Rohit Sharma while England witnesses a new era under Jos Buttler as their new white-ball captain. India thrashed the hosts by 10 wickets in the series at The Oval only for England to storm back at Lord’s and seal a 100-run victory to level the series.

Indian pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah inspired England’s capitulation with his tremendous spell with figures 6 for 19 as the hosts were shot out for 110 in 25.2 overs. Indian openers Rohit Sharma (76*) and Shikhar Dhawan (31*) made the chase very short in 18.4 overs with their fourth 100-plus stand in six innings at The Oval.

However, India failed to capitalise on the lead and crumbled to England’s bowling attack in a 247-run chase. England pacer Reece Topley mustered career-best figures of 6 for 24 as the visitors were bowled out for 146 in 38.5 overs.

India’s bowling unit has been impressive in the first two games with Jasprit Bumrah rattling Jos Buttler & co at The Oval then it was leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal who dictated the terms at the Lord’s. The old foes of middle-order stability was once again questioned, it also became evident that India still relies on the top order heavily.
