Phillips said: “I was voted the best singer, I did George Ezra’s ‘Budapest’.

“I’m not really a singer but I practiced all day in my room. Everyone else must have thought I sounded good.

“There were some good songs. Erling did the best performance as he had everyone up waving their hands.

“He sang Enrique Iglesias ‘Hero’. He went for it but was really good as well.

“Julian Alvarez sang Despacito which was a nice vibe. He was a bit stiff with his moves, a bit nervous.

“Stefan Ortega was really good – had his top off and was swinging it round his head.”

Haaland is using City’s pre-season tour of the US to get to know his new team-mates, sharing an ice bath with Jack Grealish and Oleksandr Zinchenko last week.

He has also taken part in a Pep Guardiola training session for the first time and has a lot to learn from the Spaniard.

City legend Aguero believes it will take time for Haaland to adapt to Guardiola’s style of play.

But the Argentine is confident the striker will score goals once he gets up and running in his new surroundings.

Aguero said: “An elite player like him will know how to reconcile his style with that of Pep’s teams.

“It may take a while but once he gets into gear everything will be simpler.

“He has the ability to fulfil what is asked of him, which are goals. I think his goalscoring ability is proven, his stats through the German league and in Europe confirms this.

“Logically, he will have a period of adaptation to a league as strong as the Premier League but he will go through his own process and the results will be positive.”
