Ireland’s Predicted Playing XI Against Afghanistan, 4th T20I

Ireland take on Afghanistan in the fourth T20I in Belfast on August 15. The series is nicely poised with the hosts leading the series 2-1 with two games to go. Afghanistan won the third T20I by 22 runs to throw the series wide open. Both teams now needs to win the remaining two games to win the series.

Ireland were restricted to 167/9 in response to Afghanistan’s 189/5. The Afghans were the better side on the night needing to win the game to keep the series alive. The batting from Ireland was ordinary with all of their top-order batters being dismissed for single-digit scores in the game.

“To see the fight at the back end. When you lose 3-4 early wickets, you’re up against it. With one short enough side we thought we could chase that. Needed a better start than we did” said Ireland skipper Andrew Balbirnie after the loss. Meanwhile, in this article, we take a look at Ireland’s playing XI for the fourth T20I against Afghanistan.
