Dubbed ‘miracle girl’ by doctors, Leah’s recovery from a life-threatening fall that left her with brain damage has been nothing short of astounding.
She crashed into the turf head-first after falling from her horse during a race at Grafton racecourse in Brisbane, Australia, in July.
Leah, 24, says she remembers nothing of the sickening fall but the injuries she suffered will scar her for a lifetime.
She broke several ribs, fractured an ankle, snapped her collarbone in three and had extensive nerve damage all down her left side.
Her ‘traumatic’ brain injury left her in a coma for a week with friends and family just left praying she would pull through.
Amazingly she did, earning the touching nickname from doctors stunned by her rapid recovery.

Leah showed the strongest signs yet of returning to a normal way of life when having photos with pals at her glitzy dinner.
But the lingering effects of some of those injuries are still clear to see.
Leah has spoken of the damage the fall had on her eyesight and how she needs her mum to help her with day-to-day living.
She told racenet: “Physically I am going well, but I am still struggling a lot with my eyesight.
“Everyone sees my left eye is now open and people automatically think my eyesight is better, but it’s actually worse.
“I see double, I see triple, I see half and half and it’s all different.
“I can get lost, I just can’t find things I want.
“I can do a lot but I’ve just got to really slow down and think that if it would normally take me an hour to do something, it is probably going to take two hours.
“My mum has been living with me since the fall but by early next year I want to be living by myself.
“That’s a massive goal for me because I am so independent.”
Leah was kissed on the cheek by good friend and fellow jockey Steph Thornton at her party night.
And the comments alongside the post were full of well wishes for her.
One said: “Stunning.”
Another read: “I hope you enjoyed your night my lovely, you look absolutely gorgeous!”
While another Instagram user commented: “The best night! What an inspiration you are beautiful lady.”
