‘Love the SurVir bond’ – Fans shower their love on Virat Kohli as he heaps praise on Suryakumar Yadav during his interview

Former Indian skipper and veteran batter Virat Kohli smashed his international career’s 73rd century in the first of the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. He played an amazing knock of 113 runs off 87 balls with 12 boundaries and a six to his name. Riding on his brilliant century, India posted a big total of 373 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 50 overs.

Later on, Sri Lanka couldn’t chase the target and they were restricted to the score of 306 runs for the loss of eight wickets after the completion of 50 overs. Eventually, India won the match by 67 runs and Virat Kohli won the ‘player of the match award for his match-defining knock in favor of India.

Subsequently, Virat Kohli was interviewed by the World’s number one T20I batter Suryakumar Yadav, who wasn’t the part of playing XI during the first ODI. The Indian cricket Board happened to upload the video of this interview on their official Twitter handle.

In the interview, Surya asked Virat to talk about his 73rd international century but the latter went on to praise his fellow teammate’s batting excellence rather than talking about his own achievement. This heartfelt attitude from the 34-year-old went very amusing to the Indian cricket fans. They took to Twitter to praise Kohli’s spirit for the teammates and his selfless attitude.

Here’s how fans reacted:

Now, Virat Kohli will be in action during the second of the three-match ODI series at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata on Thursday, the 12th of January. Dasun Shanaka’s Sri Lanka would be eyeing to level the series by a score line of 1-1 and to head towards the series decider at the Greenfield International Stadium in  Thiruvananthapuram. Whereas, the hosts will definitely want to take an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the series against the Islanders.
