Max Verstappen romps home in explosive Dutch GP after fuming Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes blow chance of maiden victory

FUMING Lewis Hamilton raged at his Mercedes team after Max Verstappen took the chequered flag at his home Grand Prix.

With a safety car that ended with 11 laps to go Lewis Hamilton was leading the race.

But the home favourite immediately stormed past him when the action resumed.

Hamilton then raged down the radio “That was the biggest f*** up” and “You guys screwed me over. I can’t tell you how p***** I am.”

Mercedes chose to leave the Brit on Medium tyres for his final pit-stop – leaving him open to attacks from everyone else on Softs.

And the 37-year-old ended up missing out on the podium altogether, eventually finishing down in fourth after a stunning collapse.
