Jay Shah, the president of the Asian Cricket Council and BCCI’s secretary has made it to the headlines of social media but not for a good reason. Notably, Jay Shah is also the son of India’s union home minister Amit Shah. Actually, it seemed that Jay Shah refused to hold the Indian flag in his hands during the match between India and Pakistan.

In the video, it is looking at a first glance that Shah refused to hold the national flag of India. This awkward gesture from Shah didn’t go down well with the Indian cricket fans. They went on to lash out at him on social media. Fans also criticized him for the way he behaved during the match.

India finally cleared off their account with the Pakistan

Speaking of the match, the Pakistani team posted a total of 147 runs for the loss of all wickets in the 19.5 overs. Mohammad Rizwan scored a knock of 43 runs off 42 balls with four boundaries. Other than him, middle-order batter Iftikhar Ahmed also played a crucial knock of 28 runs off 22 balls with two boundaries and a six.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya scalped four and three wickets respectively. Arshdeep Singh also claimed two wickets alongside one scalp taken by Avesh Khan.

While chasing the target, India chased it down in 19.4 overs and won by five wickets with the batting heroics of star all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya. They both stitched a match-defining partnership for the fifth wicket. Eventually, Hardik Pandya crossed the line for India with a six in the last over when India needed six runs off the last three balls.

Former Indian skipper and senior batter Virat Kohli played an individual inning of 35 runs off 34 balls with three boundaries and a six. Notably, it was the first time that both teams were facing each other after their last clash in the T20 World Cup 2021 when Pakistan defeated the Indians by a massive margin of 10 wickets.
