Southbound I-95 closed in Laurel after person struck, killed

A stretch of I-95 in Laurel in Maryland is closed after a person was struck and killed, according to the Maryland State Police.
A portion of Interstate 95 in Laurel, Maryland, remains closed for a crash investigation after a person was struck and killed on Sunday morning.
Maryland State Police said the crash happened shortly before 10 a.m. Sunday on southbound I-95 at the interchange with Md. Route 200/Intercounty Connector.
The WTOP Traffic Center reports I-95 South is closed between Md. 198 and Md. 200. Southbound traffic is diverting past Md. 198 onto the service road for Md. 200 and Kontera Road.
