Gerrard shared a snap of his evening with the comedy legend – co-owner of MLS side LAFC – at Wally’s Beverly Hills.

The pair shared a bottle of red, presumably a (Ron) Burgundy, at the Hollywood hangout, famous for its wines from around the globe.

Bottles of wine at the LA hotspot go from anywhere between £50 and £28,000 – with magnums of the stuff going for up to £68,000.

Gerrard shared a snap of the duo beaming as they toasted to each other’s good Elf, captioned: “As ye do.”

The Liverpool legend rounded off his post with a glass of red wine emoji.

And his incredible evening in the US – where Gerrard famously spent two years at LAFC rivals Los Angeles Galaxy – left his famous pals green with envy.

Ian Wright replied to his post, writing: “That looks like fun.”

Jermaine Jenas added: “Quality.”

BT Sport commentator Darren Fletcher commented: “Love it.”

Ex-Brit boxer Stephen Smith wrote: “Belter.”

Former Reds team-mate Robbie Keane and rugby icon Ugo Monye both quipped: “Class.”

The snap has already racked up a staggering 86,924 likes in just four hours, including Gary Lineker.

Ferrell is a huge football fan – famously supporting Chelsea and even co-owning LAFC, who recently confirmed the signing of Italy legend Giorgio Chiellini.

Last month, the Step Brothers and Anchorman star joined David Beckham at the FA Trophy final as Hollywood pals Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney watched their Wrexham narrowly lose to Bromley.
