Three Indian wicketkeepers Delhi franchise could rope-in to replace injured Rishabh Pant

India wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant met a life-threatening car accident two weeks back which has sidelined him from the upcoming Indian T20 League. The director of the Delhi franchise, Sourav Ganguly has recently confirmed that Pant won’t be available to play during the entire season. The southpaw is likely to begin his road to recovery after a couple of surgeries making Delhi short of a wicket-keeper and captain in the upcoming season.

Delhi have Sarfaraz Khan, who kept wickets for Mumbai in the recent Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as an option with England man Phil Salt being the other option. However, Salt’s inclusion in the playing eleven can shake their balance following the plan they have for overseas combination.

Therefore, Delhi will have to include an Indian wicketkeeper batter in their squad to keep the balance of their eleven intact. On that note, let’s take a look at three players who could’ve replaced Pant in the Delhi squad but went unsold in the Indian T20 League mini-auction.

1. Luvnith Sisodia

Sisodia was a part of the Bangalore franchise in the Indian T20 League 2022 but went unsold in the recent mini-auction. He is a left-handed batter just like Pant who likes attacking the opposition right from the word go. Sisodia is just 22 years of age and has played 15 T20s for Karnataka with a strike rate of 127.83.
