Police in Fairfax County, Virginia, want it to be game over for suspects caught on camera stealing gaming machines at several convenience stores.
Police in Fairfax County, Virginia, want it to be game over for suspects caught on camera stealing gaming machines at several convenience stores.
The machines have been targeted by thieves six times since the end of 2022. In each of the thefts, suspects enter the store and forcibly remove the devices or open the machines to steal money, a Fairfax County police news release said.
The stores that have been hit include 7-Elevens at the following locations and dates:
- 1357 Chain Bridge Road in McLean on Dec. 29 at 4:30 a.m.
- 8017 Braddock Road in Springfield on Dec. 29 at 8 a.m.
- 6464 Lincolnia Road in Alexandria on Jan. 12 at 5:15 a.m.
- 7214 Beulah St. in Alexandria (attempted) on Jan. 16 at 4:23 p.m.
- 8434 Frye Road in Alexandria (attempted) on Jan. 16, at 1:10 p.m.
- 4818 Beauregard Street in Alexandria on Jan. 21 at 10:59 a.m.
Fairfax County police said business owners who have these machines should secure them and ATMs to the floor; make sure security cameras are working; and windows on the front of the business should be clear of any obstruction.
