Hong Kong played the first match of their campaign in the Asia Cup 2022 against India. They qualified for the tournament after winning the qualifiers before the main stage of the tournament. Hong Kong is placed in Group A along with India and Pakistan. India beat the entrants with a margin of 40 runs.

Suryakumar made the headlines for his explosive knock of 68 runs off just 26 balls with six boundaries and six sixes to his credit. Former skipper and senior batter Virat Kohli also scored 59 runs off 44 balls with a boundary and three sixes.

But apart from the knocks of Suryakumar and Kohli, something else happened there in the ground after the match which turned out to be viral over social media.

Actually, Hong Kong’s top-order batter Kinchit Shah went on to propose to his girlfriend after the match against India. This incident happened later in the stands. The video of this incident was shared by a Twitter user.

The video went viral on Twitter just within minutes of being uploaded. Fans also reacted to it in the comment section of the Tweet.

Kinchit Shah played a knock of 30 runs against India

Speaking of Kinchit’s performance in the match against India, then he played a fine knock of 30 runs off 28 balls with two boundaries and a six to his name. But eventually, Hong Kong could score only 152 runs for the loss of five wickets in the 20 overs and lost the match by 40 runs.

Earlier, the Hong Kong skipper won the toss and asked the Indians to bat first at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. India posted a big total of 192 runs for the loss of only two wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Former skipper and senior batter Virat Kohli scored a half-century after a long time in international cricket.

Star batter Suryakumar Yadav was awarded player of the match for his brilliant knock of 68 runs off just 26 balls that helped India to cross the mark of 190+.
