Ishan Kishan became the fourth Indian batter to score a double century in One-Day Internationals, breaking several records (ODIs). The youngster scored 210 runs off just 131 balls, cementing his place in history. Kishan demonstrated how to bat fearlessly in modern-day cricket.

Kishan was batting alongside Virat Kohli when he reached the landmark. While the former Indian captain performed Bhangra to celebrate the youngster’s achievement, India’s head coach, Rahul Dravid, who is known for his cool and calm demeanour, celebrated wildly inside the dressing room.

After a knock like this, Ishan Kishan has made a strong case for himself, especially with the 50-over World Cup not far away. The World Cup will be held in India, and with the conditions favouring batters, players like Kishan could be crucial to India’s success.

As for the game, Ishan Kishan and Virat Kohli’s century (113 runs in 91 balls) assisted India in setting a massive target of 410 runs. Following that, the Indian bowlers were on top of the game, dismissing the Bangla Tigers for 182 runs in 34 overs, giving their team a 227-run victory.

“I think it was a perfect wicket to bat on. Perfect situation for me as well. Was looking to watch the ball properly and go with the flow. I think when you have so many senior players in the team. We have been doing conversations. Here at the international stage, you try to get a lot when you get a few,” Kishan said in the post-match interview.

“I got a lot of help from the support staff. I was just picking the ball and the bowlers. Things went my way. After looking at the wicket, I knew it was going to play well. Was trying to smash the loose balls. There is so much conversation going on in the team for the fitness,” he added.
